The MBA-HR program at IIM Amritsar is a comprehensive two-year, full-time residential program designed to cultivate the next generation of HR leaders who are equipped to meet the evolving demands of today’s complex and dynamic workplace.

Our mission is to ensure that our students graduate with the skills, knowledge, and competencies that make them not only industry-relevant but also highly employable in a rapidly changing professional landscape. The curriculum provides the students with a robust foundation in all core areas of human resource management across the employment lifecycle—ranging from talent acquisition and performance management to compensation design, learning and development, and labor law compliance.

Beyond functional expertise, we emphasize strategic thinking, enabling students to align HR practices with broader organizational goals and contribute meaningfully to business performance. The integration of digital tools and data analytics throughout the program further ensures that our graduates are prepared to make informed, evidence-based decisions that drive organizational effectiveness.

We also recognize the growing importance of agility and innovation in HR. Our students are exposed to emerging work models—including remote work, flexible employment structures, and the gig economy—preparing them to manage modern workforce dynamics with confidence and creativity.
