“Leading in the Changing Times”

(18th to 22nd October 2021)

Management Development Program on “Leading in the Changing Times” was conducted from 18th to 22nd October 2021, as a 5-day A.I.C.T.E. sponsored workshop. 105 participants from different parts of the country participated in the workshop.

Objective of the Project

Educational leaders as pedagogical heads must manage the teaching-learning process, establish norms for continuous quality improvement and create a collaborative learning organization. They also play a vital role in defining the cultural D.N.A. of their school. They must continually shift their focus from reactive to a more proactive strategic response to future challenges. In the move towards decentralized self-managed school systems, outcome-based education, authentic assessment patterns, standardized curriculum, and student-learning outcomes constantly act as accountability parameters.

In this training program, the focus was on the varied issues that the Principals, Deans, Faculty, and Teachers grapple with in the day-to-day functioning of their schools and colleges. By establishing and interpreting the nature and scope of educational change, the program has significantly contributed to meeting this challenge.

The program was designed and delivered under the framework of Project T.H.R.I.V.E. THRIVE stands for creating Transformational, Humanistic, Responsible, Innovative, Value-led Educators. By creating a program just for educators, we wanted to ensure that the change has to start from our end to lead this mission of imparting education with the highest quality, equity, and integrity. The educators must grapple with continually high student dropouts, disengaged and fragmented learning, shifting learners' preferences, and everchanging industry standards. Hence, it is the right moment to embark upon a journey of not just surviving but THRIVING to maximize one's potential.
