Ranjan has a unique blend of rich practitioner experience combined with academic rigor and an enduring passion for teaching, training, and research. In his corporate stint spanning two decades, most of it in leadership roles, he has worked across retail, research and consulting BFSI, and pharma sectors. Prior to joining academia, in his last role, Ranjan was Head of Strategy and Corporate Communication at one of India's leading retail companies. Earlier, he worked with reputed Indian and global MNCs and boutique consulting firms, leading teams in a global and diverse cross-cultural setting.
His areas of specialization include Strategic and Financial Communication, Crisis Communication, Project Management, and Business Statistics. He has also been a visiting faculty in leading management institutes and conducted senior leadership training for reputed corporates and professional services firms. Ranjan has published in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and presented papers at various national and international conferences.
Ranjan holds a PhD and a PGDM, both from IIM Lucknow. He earned a B.A. in Political Science, English and Economics and a Diploma in Hotel Management. He is a fitness enthusiast and loves trekking in the Himalayas and experimenting with various cuisines as a chef.
